If your period lasts more than 7 days and includes
blood loss of about 5½ tablespoons or more
(about 1/3 cup), you may have heavy menstrual

How did this happen?

While uterine-related problems, hormone-related problems, and other illnesses or disorders may cause HMB, in some women who have HMB, doctors have been unable to find the cause.

What can I do about it?

Download the Period Tracker, use it to help you keep track of your monthly menstrual symptoms, and bring it with you to your next doctor’s appointment.
