HMB signs may include a menstrual flow that:
Soaks through 1 or more pads or tampons every hour for several hours in a row
Results in about 1/3 cup (about 5½ tablespoons) of blood loss or more
Contains blood clots the size of a quarter or larger

Needs you to double up on pads to control your menstrual flow
